Stockpile Reports Brings Real-Time Stockpile Measurement to Android

Stockpile Reports today announced the launch of SR Measure for Samsung Galaxy S25 devices, marking the first time the company’s construction industry-proven 3D measurement technology has been available beyond iOS. The app enables aggregate producers, concrete suppliers, and construction crews to capture precise measurements of bulk materials using only their smartphone camera, eliminating the need for expensive surveying equipment or drones.

SR Measure uses proprietary computer vision algorithms to analyze imagery and generate accurate 3D reconstructions and volume calculations on mobile devices. Previously exclusive to iOS users, the technology launches initially for Samsung Galaxy S25 users, with broader Android support planned for additional devices. This expansion significantly increases accessibility for bulk materials companies that have standardized on Android devices for their field operations.

“Our construction and aggregate customers have been requesting Android support for years, particularly larger operations that have company-wide Android deployments,” said Dr. Jared Heinly, Chief Scientist at Stockpile Reports. “The improvement in processing power and camera quality in today’s Android devices means we can now deliver accurate and repeatable stockpile measurements that construction teams expect, helping them better manage material quantities and make better real-time decisions.”

The technology addresses critical pain points in construction material management, where inaccurate volume estimates can lead to significant cost overruns and project delays. SR Measure enables instant measurement of aggregate stockpiles, excavated materials, and bulk material deliveries directly from the jobsite.

“This expansion represents a major step forward in democratizing professional measurement tools for the bulk materials industry,” said David Boardman, CEO of Stockpile Reports. “By bringing our technology to Android, we’re reaching teams who previously couldn’t access these capabilities, helping them make better decisions about material ordering, inventory management, and waste reduction.”

The application is particularly valuable for:

  • Aggregate producers measuring stockpile inventory and reducing errors in their perpetual inventory
  • Ready-mix concrete suppliers managing yard operations and verifying 3rd party aggregate deliveries
  • General contractors tracking excavation progress and material consumption
  • Heavy civil contractors monitoring earthwork volumes

SR Measure for Android is available now on the Google Play Store for Samsung Galaxy S25 users.
