History: XBE began in 2016 as a bootstrapped transportation management service. Landing Superior Bowen as its first vertically integrated, horizontal construction customer in 2018, the firm soon accepted a strategic equity investment from that customer, fueling product expansion in the category. Between 2020 and 2024, the platform was adopted by horizontal contractors, materials producers and ready-mixed concrete suppliers, leading to a partnership with growth investor Banneker Partners. In 2025, XBE acquired PriceBee and Gauge, and has recently merged with BCMI.
Leadership – Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sean Devine is a long-time construction tech and logistics entrepreneur. He is joined by Grant Wollenhaupt, Chief Commercial Officer and aggregates-sector veteran, and Milind Alvares, Director of Product. Their fully remote team combines product, customer success and domain experts committed to transparent value creation.
